Marissa (“MJ”) is a registered occupational therapist (OTR/L), and our occupational therapy supervisor. She first obtained a degree as a physical therapist assistant in 2006 from Wallace State Community College. She worked in a variety of states and settings as an LPTA, including outpatient, hospital/acute, home health, skilled nursing, and school based therapy. During her time working as an LPTA in pediatric settings, she began to strongly identify with the holistic nature of occupational therapy. This led her to obtain her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. MJ believes therapy should never be “one size fits all” and hopes to be an ally for each client to achieve their own goals.
